HTC Explorer is for you if you are a first time android buyer or if you have a powerful classy looking 4G phone and you often loose your phones while partying hard. HTC Explorer is an entry level android smartphone which has average hardware specs but has loads of features. This is probably the first entry level phone to officially have android 2.3 (Gingerbread). This is surprising too as HTC Explorer has 600 MHz processor, many hardliners will doubt about HTC Explorer's ability to run Gingerbread smoothly with paltry 600 MHz processor but for most cases this device do run Gingerbread pretty well. There are not many 7 inch tablets in the market and its viability has always been questioned. The only noticeable slate which is 7 inch in size is Samsung's Galaxy Tab 7. Galaxy Tab 7 touched 1.2 million mark in sales recently. Now HTC is all ready to release its Flyer slate soon in European market. Flyer is a 7 inch tablet running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and is expected to get an upgrade to Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) soon. It has been a month or so since the release of HTC Thunderbolt LTE, yet there was no teardown report of this awesome smartphone. We normally expect iFixit team to release such teardowns but this time FCC released some images of HTC Thunderbolt teardown. Though the images are not as good as a iFixit release, still these images give us a fair bit of idea how such a thin and "not so big" device manages to pack such power-packed features. The most interesting aspect of this teardown is to see the placement of EVDO and LTE antennas, among other things. In of of the pictures we can clearly see a Qualcomm MDM9600 processor. The bubble burst to disappoint many people waiting for HTC Thunderbolt when HTC announced its specs. The most awaited was the Qualcomm's dual-core Snapdragon MSM8960 expected to run at lightening speed of 1.2GHz. Well the news is that Qualcomm is not going to finish its work on MSM8960 anytime before the end of 2011,so there is no question of any mobile phone having it in 2011.
